The Eiger
Weight 35
is a customized 35 pound solid cast iron weight
strategically developed by a professional installer for professional
installation results. Using weights for a glue down installation
is necessary to ensure a tight bond with the subfloor and eliminate
hollow areas. Stop using unprofessional,
makeshift items which can scratch and dent flooring, and
consequently damage your professional reputation. Used in
combination with our Eiger Bar and Eiger Clamp you're sure
to achieve a professional and seamless installation.

The Eiger Clamp is a rugged ratchet clamp designed to pull flooring planks together without pounding on the planks and without the clamp bending. It comes with a 20’ strap. Use two in tandem to clamp wider areas. Use a clamp every 3’ – 4’ for strip flooring. Less often for wider planks. |

The Eiger Bar is a heavy duty ratchet clamp with a welded knocking block that can be used to pull planks together, pull long plank butt joints together or as a stand alone pulling bar for planks against walls. Eiger bars come with a 36’ strap. |

The use of sturdy ratchet clamps is recommended to facilitate the successful installation of your wood flooring. How many clamps are needed is generally a function of the type, size and quality of the wood flooring. For instance, long wide plank engineered flooring will require fewer clamps than 2 ½" strip flooring of various lengths machining quality. A rule of thumb would be a clamp approximately every 3' to 4' for narrow strip flooring and adjusting to fewer clamps as the flooring size and machining quality increases. They are especially useful on startup rows.
